Audie Murphy Commemoration Hike

RATC is working with the Salem Museum on a special wreath-laying event at the Audie Murphy Memorial. https://salemmuseum.org/events-activities/
I thought it would be nice to hike up the event instead of driving to the parking area at the top of the ridgeline. This is an eight mile strenuous hike. If you would like to join me, please meet at Appalachian Trail Parking Trout Creek Route 620 (that’s exactly how Google Maps lists it) at 7:30am. We will carpool over to the Upper Craigs Creek end on Rt 621 and hike up from there. After the ceremonies at the Memorial, we will hike down the other side to our cars at Trout Creek. Groups in this wilderness area are limited to 10 people; if more than that sign up we will do the hike from both ends as a key exchange.
