False Cape 2 Night Backpacking Trip

I am heading to False Cape State Park for a 2-night backpacking trip. I have already booked sites. I did this trip last year and liked it enough that I am going back!

Info about False Cape. You cannot drive into the park itself. You will need to park at the Little Island Virginia Beach parking area, just before you enter the Back Bay Wildlife Refuge. I will meet whoever is interested in backpacking at the Little Island Virginia Beach parking area. It is approximately a 6-mile hike to our campsite, and you have the option to camp inlet or on the beach. Just be forewarned, if you camp on the beach, you will have to battle the Ghost Crabs! And you will NEVER get all the sand out of your gear and tent!

The 2nd day, we will hike throughout the park and go check out points of interests and then head to our 2nd campsite for the evening. Sunday morning, we will head back to our cars and maybe go someplace for lunch before heading home, since there are places there that we can’t get back home.

We can set up a carpool if anyone is interested?
