Roanoke Mountain, Twin Creeks Brewpub & Hanging Rock Tavern

I know I will be starting a little early for most on a Friday, so feel free to meet at any of the venues described below. If you can make it to all, great! If not, just let me know where to look for you?
So, this is going to be a full day in a small amount of time. I am planning on heading over to Roanoke Mountain and walking (hike) up to the summit from the road. This is a 4-mile out & back paved road that has been closed to traffic since 2018. The summit offers a phenomenal view of the Roanoke Valley. Just because this is a paved road, don’t misjudge this! The road is pretty much uphill switchbacks the whole way. Keep in mind, parking is very limited at the entrance. There is a gate there and there is some parking I believe right across the road?

Afterwards, I was going to head right down the road to Twin Creeks Brewpub where the Star Ceili Band will be playing for the start of the St. Patty’s weekend. They start at 6:00. I will probably only be here for a little over an hour.

From here, I am going to head over to Hanging Rock Tavern for 80 & 90’s Throwback Party with DJ Judd. I have never been to one of these, but I’ve seen them posted a number of times, so figured why not? Music starts at 8:00.
