The Cliffs of Rich Patch Mountains

About 10 miles; Strenuous; 30 miles from Daleville. High in the Rich Patch Mountains just into Allegheny County is a line of cliffs, where the leprechauns dance and the unicorns prance. Guarded by the troll, Nottgetinbi, we will bring an offering of Cherelle mushrooms to gain passage. With late October fall foliage and high mountain leaf off views, these cliffs offer unobstructed 50 mile south and southeast views. This a lollipop route with a stop at a waterfall on the way down. Elevation gain of 2300 ft over well maintained trails. Some rock scrambling near the top.
