Reeds Creek – Hunting Creek

9, 11, and 12.5 mile options; Strenuous; About 35 miles from the parking area.

This is a loop concoction devised by Josiah Leonard and myself which takes in 2 beautiful creeks and canopies of Rhododendrons. Thus, hiking it in late May hoping for the Rhodies to be in bloom. The options will all take in both creeks. The longer options will be an out and back up to Terrapin Mountain summit from Camping Gap. The first 4 miles are uphill, sometimes steep. We will be hiking along Reeds Creek at first then taking old trails and forestry roads up to the AT near Thunder Hill. About 1.5 miles along the AT and back down Hunting Creek Trail and through the Rhodies. Text if you have questions. (804) 852-7653
