Garst Mill Park/Mud Lick Greenway Walk and Trash Dash !
This will be a walk in Garst Mill Park on the Mud Lick Greenway with the option of picking up some debris as we go along. This will be about a 3.0 mile event and should be considered as easy. I invite all attendees to bring an old grocery bag and we can pick up a bit of trash while we’re out and help the appearance of the park. The trash pick-up part isn’t a requirement to attend this event at all, it’s only a suggestion.
Nestled in a suburban area of Cave Spring, Garst Mill Park follows the path of Garst Mill Stream for about a mile. Several bridges cross the stream, to provide access to many park amenities. The Garst Mill Greenway is a beautiful paved walking path which runs the length of the park.
Directions: From Route 419, turn North onto Brambleton Avenue (Route 221) at Cave Spring Corners. Turn left at the first traffic light onto Garst Mill Road. Turn
left onto Halevan. Park will be on the left.
