End of Season Gathering for the McAfee Knob Task Force

This yearly event has it all! Come for the meeting, stay for the fun stuff! The event is primarily for Volunteer Ridgerunners and partners, but anyone who’d like to know more about the Task Force is welcome.

We’ll start off with a recap of the 2018 season for the McAfee Knob Task Force Volunteer Ridgerunners. Volunteer Ridgerunners are welcome to patrol the Trail year-round, but the core season is April thru October. What have we accomplished this year? What have we learned? What goals should we focus on next year? How can we keep building on the success of this dynamic and effective group?

If folks are interested, we could incorporate some element of training – Leave No Trace, first aid, history of Catawba Mountain, natural history, etc. Use the comment section or message Kathryn if you have ideas for something you’d like to learn, or knowledge you can share.

As the meeting wraps up, we’ll transition to a social event so everyone can keep swapping stories and toasting all the season’s hard work. If the weather cooperates, we can grab beverages at Downshift next door (coffee, kombucha, beer and more) and head up to the rooftop patio. If the weather’s no good and our group is too large for Downshift, we could walk over to Big Lick Brewing or Beamers 25.

Hope you can join us!
