Continue Working on the Sinking Creek AT ReLo

Meet at the Orange Market at 8:00 AM we’ll carpool to the trailhead at Rte 630 near the Keffer Oak. There is a 40 minute uphill hike to the worksite. Bring lunch, work gloves, plenty of water, clothes that you don’t mind getting really dirty and a sense of adventure, because here’s an opportunity to give back to the Appalachian Trail for all those miles you’ve hiked along it. Currently the AT on the west side of Sinking Creek Mountain is steep and heavily eroded. You’ll be a part of a crew building a new section of the Appalachian Trail. Tools and instruction provided free of charge. This relocation project is a long term project so we’ll be returning to this site on the first Saturday of the month thru out the Fall and picking up again in the Spring. We’ll work until about 2:30 and return to the Orange Market by 4:00PM. Join us, become more than a hiker become a part of the TRAIL.
