Chimney Rock conservation easement, Craig Co – with Blue Ridge Land Conservancy

MODERATE/STRENUOUS. 3.25 miles round-trip. The last quarter-mile is off-trail and steep. A rare opportunity on private land. Located in Craig County this hike starts at the base of Sinking Creek Mountain on a property conserved by the Blue Ridge Land Conservancy. The hike crosses wildlife habitat clearings and ends at the Chimney Rock boulder formation. The outcropping offers fantastic views of John’s Creek Mountain and on into West Virginia. Hike will be led by Blue Ridge Land Conservancy staff and will have a $4 fee BRLC (Friend rate) for each hiker.
